How to plan a multi-day enduro session...

"The plan is nothing; planning is everything."

The source is Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Although I thought I already knew the concept, this statement helped clarify the planning process. Having a plan, committing to a plan, is not the goal of the planning process. Planning, if done well with an open mind, reveals your options.

Anything complex should be planned ahead.  Your knowledge and experience will support a foolproof plan that has high probabilities of a flawless execution.  In enduro, this is directly associated with loads of fun.

Below is the ISO9001 equivalent, of a planning process, towards a multi-day, team, enduro session.

With the advent of GoogleEarth Plus™ you may have an excellent assistance in identifying spatial information and creating the original digital information (data).  In other words you may increase dramatically the accuracy of your planned itinerary, before reaching the field.  Tracks and waypoints, may now have as low as 30m error bandwidth (today, year 2007, using a conventional low-cost GPS receiver).

Here is the a recommended process to follow; with proven track record.
